GROUPS MINISTRY

Community Groups are the primary vehicle by which believers contribute to the health, discipleship, and mission of the church. These groups meet in homes in and around Midtown, with the commitment to pursue holiness and live intentionally alongside one another.

COMMUNITY GROUPS

What sets Community Groups apart from other groups is that they are:

Family Oriented

We embrace the joys and challenges that come with raising children in community. We should not shy away from cultivating community in the sometimes chaotic stage of raising young children because parents need encouragement and because we want to raise children who love the church and feel a sense of belonging within the Body of Christ.

Cross Demographic

Community Groups are made up of men and women, families, couples, and singles in all stages of life. Cross-demographic relationships are beautiful representations of gospel shaped communities. Four Oaks Midtown is committed to providing space to foster these relationships.

Care-Focused

One thing that sets Community Groups apart from other group offerings is that care and relationship building will be a primary focus. The study of scripture should serve as a way for group members to know one another better, pray for one another, and encourage one another in their walk with Jesus. These biblical discussions should spur one another on towards Christ-likeness (Heb. 10:24-25).

MEN’S AND WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDIES

We seek to help men and women become mature disciples of Jesus. This happens through prayer, study, and application of God's Word, communing with one another, and serving faithfully. Men’s and women’s studies exist as an opportunity to foster relationships and grow into maturity in Christ.
